The sign up process

The sign up process is very simple. It consists of the following steps:
  1. Login on the Amazon Payments page
    When you click sign up on this page, you are redirected to a page that looks like the one below. This is the Amazon Payments page. Amazon Payments handles the payment processing and monthly billing on behalf of Utilify.
    If you have an existing Amazon Web Services (AWS) account, you can use that. If not, you will have to sign up for a free AWS account.

  2. Enter you details (credit card, address etc)
    After logging in, you will be asked for you credit card and address details on a page similar to the one shown below.

  3. Signup Confirmation
    And that's all there is to it. After entering your details, Amazon Payments will process the order and charge your card for the initial month's subscription, based on a pro-rated fee. (eg. If you sign up in the middle of the month, you will be charged half of the subscription fee.)
    In general, usage and subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each month. You will also get an email from Amazon confirming that you have signed up for the Utilify Platform for EC2.
